Pre-K Book Week

Here are some pictures from Book Week. We had a great time and were so excited that so many boys and girls participated in the daily activities. 

Friendly Reminders

Parents: Next week is book week and we will have activities each day. Here is a list of what will happen each day. Monday- Crazy sock day Tuesday- Mismatch/tacky day Wednesday- Team sports day Thursday- Hat day Friday- Book Character Parade (9:00 AM) Parents are invited to watch the parade, we hope you will join us. Pumpkin Discovery

We had a fun week learning about pumpkins. We learned the parts of a pumpkin, talked about positional words using a leaf cut out and a small pumpkin, looked at the inside of a pumpkin, planted pumpkin seeds, and read sentences together about characteristics of pumpkins. Here are a few pictures from our week. 

Varoom, Varoom, Varoom!

We had a fun week learning all about transportation. We had a great time pushing and riding tractors, fire trucks, and cars in the courtyard. We made a class book, graphed our mode of transportation to school, sorted transportation counters by color and shape, and took a tour of a school bus. Here's a peek into our week.

Reminders

Dear Parents:

I have just a couple of reminders for the next couple of weeks. The Scholastic Book Fair will be open on Monday from 7:30-2:30. This is the last day to take advantage of these awesome books. Also, we will have picture day on October 9th. These are individual pictures, we will have our group pictures in the spring. We are going to the Ft. Stewart Fire Station on October 16th. Please dress your child in comfortable clothing and shoes for the trip. Thanks for your continued support of our program.

Fun on the Farm

We learned all about farm this week. We had worm races, used a barn cut out and farm stamps to create a picture, made AB pattern hats using paper horses and sheep, poured and measured corn in our sensory table, and ended the week with some real animals visiting us at school. A big thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Kicklighter, and Mr. and Mrs. Maditz for sharing their animals with us. It was an awesome and exciting week for all. 

Farm Fun

We began learning about farm today and will continue throughout the week. The boys are girls are acting out the song "Color Farm", which teaches them color words.  We are looking forward to a visit from some real farm animals on Thursday. McDonalds McTeacher Night

Just a quick reminder that tonight is McTeacher Night from 5:00-8:00 at McDonalds on Hwy 84. A portion of the total sales will be given to Pre-K. Mrs. Smith and I will both be working so please come out and see us.

Pre-K Fun!

Here are some pictures from the first days of school. Our boys and girls are adjusting nicely to our routines and procedures and we are all having a great time getting to know each other.
